Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Training Program

    Program Overview

    Madge’s Reign Home Care offers a New Jersey Board of Nursing–compliant Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) training program designed to meet all state-mandated curriculum, hour, and competency requirements.

    This program prepares eligible individuals to provide non-skilled home care services under the supervision of a New Jersey-licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN), in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13:37-14.

    Program Structure

    • Total Program Hours: Minimum 60 hours
       
    • Instruction Method: Classroom instruction and supervised clinical training
       
    • Training Location: Approved training location(s) in New Jersey
       
    • Supervision: Instruction and clinical training are conducted under a New Jersey-licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
       
    • Curriculum: Structured in accordance with New Jersey Board of Nursing requirements

    Scope of Practice

    Certified Home Health Aides trained through this program are authorized to provide non-skilled personal care services only, including assistance with activities of daily living, under RN supervision.

    This program does not train or authorize CHHAs to perform skilled nursing services.

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
       
    • Valid government-issued identification required
       
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English
       
    • Physically capable of performing home care duties
       
    • Must meet background check requirements under New Jersey law

    Completion of this training program does not guarantee employment.

    Graduates who meet hiring requirements may be considered for employment opportunities with Madge’s Reign Home Care or other licensed home care agencies, subject to background checks, credentialing, and onboarding requirements.
